We were very excited to start our first official day of preschool with Zion. Zion has been doing what she calls her "school" for the past couple of years, learning numbers, letters, colors etc. But today was official. We are using the Calvert Pre K Curriculum. Now before you go calling us homeschoolers keep in mind this is just preschool. I always said I would never homeschool when I was younger. I thought it seemed like too much work and did not see why I would want to do it. Travis and I are praying about what to do when Zion is officially school age. We don't consider our public schools a real option because we live in the city and sadly we have not met anyone that has good things to say about them.
Here is a peak into our first day of preschool which only took about an hour and a half. Zion wanted to keep going. Above is her waking up.
Our flag
Counting and sorting. Today we learned about in and out which Zion remarked "I already know this whats next". She enjoyed her music time and her Peter Rabbit story of the day.
After school we went to the library and she got her very own library card. She asked the librarian herself and was very proud. Then we came home and had a special lunch which she ate in our Peter Rabbit bowl and Peter Rabbit mug in honor of our story. I will be at work tomorrow so Travis will be doing day 2. So far so good!

congrats big girl. enjoy preschool. I can't believe how grown up you are already.
Adorable! Love that you put so many sweet touches into the day. Landon just started yesterday as well at Tender Shepherd.
how cute. Wish I were there to help. I'm always getting different things from other teachers that might be of use. I'll pass it on either to you or Jill.
