Summer Fun

Here are some quick summer highlights. Norah is eating and eating and loving every new food she tries.

Zion missed her friend Lauren while she was in India for what seemed like forever to Z and Lauren brought her back these AWESOME dress ups.

We had fun picking Strawberries and going to the Strawberry Festival at Trax farm and Zion LOVED feed the baby pigs.

Zion wanted to get Daddy water guns for his birthday so she did. Nuf said.

Uncle Erin and Aunt Bethany came for a visit and they got to meet Norah. Zion had so much fun with them and Uncle Erin helped Travis put some awesome tile in our mud room!

Homemade playdough...that is colored with tumeric.

We are enjoying fruits of our garden which have included, radishes, carrots, zucchini, basil and okra so far.

Cosmic City!

Even though VBS was a couple of weeks ago we still cannot get the songs out of our heads. It was Zion's first time getting to be a part of a VBS and she had a blast. I volunteered myself and Travis to do the snacks. I have to say I had no idea what I was getting myself into and how much work it would be especially since I decided to make all the snacks myself but it all came together and we had fun too! It was a space theme and so I went for space themed snacks. We had star and moon shaped PB and J the first day and then, flying saucer mini pizzas and green space punch with foam on Tuesday. Wednesday was make your own banana rockets which was the most fun in my opinion, the kids were so creative. Thursday was cosmic ice cream (dip n dots) and Friday was Rice Krispie Moons. Travis and I also did the scripture memory during snack time and we were so impressed with how the kids were able to learn a really long scripture passage and quite a few of them had never attempted that before. They put us to shame, maybe we are getting old!
