Kmart Deal

Kmart had double coupons up to two dollars last week so I got a bunch of great deals on things we use. A lot of these things were totally free or almost free....the only thing I really paid for was the pull ups. I got $98 of stuff for less than $30!

Tree Planting

Our church organized a tree planting with trees provided by the conservancy. Zion and I got to watch one tree get planted but Travis, Rachel and Doug put in a lot of work. I think that the trees will make a big difference in the neighborhood. A lot of them were planted on the street around the church where there really were not any trees.

Conversations with Zion

Scene: Zion is sitting on the front porch at my parents on the porch swing rocking back and forth. She has her head in her hand like she is thinking intently about something but she is smiling.

Reba: Z what are you thinking about?

Zion: Flowers.............and God.

The mind of a 2 year old....how interesting and cute!

You'll Come

I have decided
I have resolved
To wait upon the Lord
My Rock and Redeemer
Shield and Reward
I'll wait upon you Lord

As surely as the sun will rise
You'll come to us
Certain as the dawn appears

You'll Come
Let your glory fall as you respond to us
Spirit Rain
Flood into our thirsty hearts again
You'll Come
You'll Come

We are not shaken
We are not moved
We wait upon you Lord
Mighty Deliverer
Triumph and truth
We wait upon you Lord

As certain as the sun will rise
You'll come to us
As certain as your word endures

Chains be broken
Lives be healed
Eyes be opened
Christ is revealed

Hapy Easter!

Pittsburgh Zoo

We had a fun time going to the zoo this past Saturday. We were supposed to be closing on our new house but there are some issues that are preventing us from doing that at least for now so it was nice to do something fun to get our minds off it. Z is telling everyone " I went to the zoo with Mason, Greg and Debon....I saw the monkeys and I got a lollipop. Greg gave her a lollipop and apparently that was one of the highlights. Mason is about to be a big brother and we are very excited for them!

Egg Dying!

Princess Party

The library here had a princess party that we were able to take Zion to. It was fun and free my two favorite things. They had crafts games, face painting, stories and music. Zion won a necklace and a bracelet. Thanks to her Grandma and Grandpa Schenk she had a princess dress to wear.

Childrens Museum

Zion and Lauren got to enjoy the Children's Museum for free to celebrate Mr. Rogers birthday!

And she got to meet Mr. McFeely! She was a little afraid at first but she warmed up and got a free book and an autographed picture.

FUN

Zion was totally thrilled to get to spend the evening with her other buddy Mason. They even got to do bedtime devotions together.

Recreation Station

Z and her buddy Landon spent the day playing at an indoor play space called Recreation Station. The had a blast. It has all different themed rooms including art and music and lots of other fun things to do. Z now refers to Landon as "my Landon" most of the time now.

Our kid

Lately we have officially decided that Zion is not a baby anymore. )-: She looks like a kid, plays like a kid and talks like a kid (and sometimes like an adult. Now if only we can get her out of diapers!

Pet Rocks

From my first business trip to Dallas I brought Zion back a kit to make pet rocks! I got it for $2 on clearance at borders and we had a lot of fun doing it together.
