Norah is growing so quickly. Already heading towards 14 months here in a couple of weeks. She had fun sitting on the potty the other night. Its all looks at this point but at least she likes it! She kind of skiped walking and went straight to running instead. Oh and climbing. She climbs up onto the dining room chair and then on the table. The other evening while I was cooking I turned around and she was scaling the stove while it was on! She also enjoys climbing up the couch and perching herself on the radiator behind it so she can look out the window. We have to keep our eyes on her all the time now. I do not remember Zion being this adventerous at all. She is such a happy girl and is bringing all of us great joy! Her new word is "this" which she says as she points to everything. She refuses to drink regular milk even if we try to trick her and will only drink soy milk....we can't figure out why. She loves to make Zion laugh and giggles the cutest way when she is outside and the breeze catches her hair.

Norahs First Christmas

Merry Christmas slightly late. (: We had a wonderful relaxing and low key Christmas this year. We missed Travs family a lot but we did have Jordan over on Christmas morning and we went to my parents late in the day. Norah was so excited and it was a fun first Christmas since she was almost one and was old enough to enjoy gifts. She was all smiles as usual.
Sweet Girl!

We went all the way to farm to pick out our tree only to find that the ones that were left there were sad looking and quite expensive and we were not even that late picking out our tree. So we ended up at home depot but found a great one and it was cheap. Norah was sleepy by the time we finally picked one.
Travis and I planned ahead for what we wanted to get the girls and got them one special gift and then some things that we needed. We got Norah an activity table which she loves!!!
And Zion got the leap frog Tag which is a pen that basically reads books to you. She loves to look at books all the time so this is great for her.
I made the girls matching Christmas tree shirts to wear to my extended families Christmas eve. Its hard to see but this is the best picture I got before Norah got coffee all over hers. Don't worry it was not hot. There is a little start shaped button at the top. Too bad they will only really wear them once.
Cookies!

Sisters. It is so hard to get them to take a posed picture together.
Our friends the Thelons sent Zion this awesome mirror set that Zion got to decorate with glitter. She loved it!
Big fat stocking!
Gingerbread mustache.....lots has been going on her in our little home. More updates to come soon I hope.

Trick or Treat

Z was so excited to go Trick or Treating with Lauren!

We got these great costumes at Old Navy for $5! I guess it pays to go looking for costumes the day before.

Travis and Z made this waving pumpkin...

Z is 4!

So I asked Zion what she wanted to do for her birthday this year and what kind of party she wanted to have and she said pierogies (noodles stuffed with potatoes)! At first I was thinking I was sorry that I asked but then we talked about it more and we both were excited. I think this idea was her Grandpas fault because she loves to watch the pirate piergoies at the baseball games (they are like mascots that have a race around the field). We had delicious homemade pierogies, pierogie finger puppet favors and the pirate pierogies on the cake. Z had a great time with all her buddies!
Her party was at the Cafe N Creamery that his operated by our churches ministry.
Sack races...I had hoped for potato sacks to kind of go with the theme but this worked.

Norah's First Trip to the Zoo!

We had a lovely day at the zoo!!!! Thanks to our nice neighbors who gave us free passes!

You can't tell but this was the jellyfish. Zion was so interested in Jellyfish awhile back that we had to get all kinds of books about them out of the library. She was really excited to see some real ones.
